I've had problems with 2 Vista updates so far KB938979, and today MS recommended KB941649 to fix a past problem. Both of these updates shut my drive down and spin it back up at regular and frequent intervals. It's highly annoying, and it causes short freezes when I'm playing a game, or even manipulating objects on my desktop. I wish they'd get this problem worked out. I'd like to have the benefits that the patches are supposed to provide.
