Ok I searched on google and saw no one else reporting this but yesterday I installed sp2 and my movies (xvids, divx and mkv would not play even thought gspot said the codecs were installed. I cleaned out the codecs and started installing the codec package for Vista and various other stuff until it started working.....I thought.... until computer was rebooted and found out it was hung up in a loop and on every reboot would install the sp2 (could of been caused by a script I have ruunning during the bootup process to change my dual boot and bypassing the signed drivers crap)

I went ahead and installed a clean image of just Vista and got all working again...well last night it did some updates (not sp2) and guess what all my movies wont play again! Anyone else having this issue?

Here is a list of the updates from last night:

Update for Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 (KB969907)

Security Update for Windows Vista (KB968537)

Security Update for the 2007 Microsoft Office System (KB969679)

Security Update for Microsoft Office Excel 2007 (KB969682)

Security Update for Windows Vista (KB961501)

Security Update for the 2007 Microsoft Office System (KB969613)

Update for Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 Help (KB963677)

Update for Windows Mail Junk E-mail Filter [June 2009] (KB905866)

Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 8 for Windows Vista (KB969897)

Update for Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 Junk Email Filter (KB970012)

Installation date: ?6/?21/?2009 12:32 AM

Security Update for the 2007 Microsoft Office System (KB969559)

Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool - June 2009 (KB890830)

Security Update for Windows Vista (KB970238)

Update Rollup for ActiveX Killbits for Windows Vista (KB969898)

Security Update for Microsoft Office Word 2007 (KB969604)

I checked the info on all of them and unless the ActiveX one did it I don't see any of them causing this from what MS says about them. Anyone else having issues?

UPDATE: just uninstalled the the activex update and all is back normal. Going to install sp2 and see what happens as it will most likely install this update again and again I'll uninstall the update and keep rest of the sp2.
