Vista Ultimate

On Microsofts website, it says that Vista Ultimate contains both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Vista...or maybe it's just something I read somewhere else. Newegg.com has both a Vista Ultimate 32 bit and a Vista Ultimate 64 bit listed, and for the same price. At the time, the 64 bit was out of stock, so I ordered the 32 bit version thinking there was no difference. Can somebody please inform me if I made a mistake?

They were OEM versions, which are sold i seperate versions. They are sold seperately.

The retail version (upgrade and retail) have both versions inside the box.

The retail version has both 32 bit and 64 bit versions. You purchased OEM. With OEM you make your choice at the time of purchase. With retail the license allows you to install either the 32 bit version or the 64 bit version.

Did you order the OEM or retail version? OEM versions are individualized, and you must order either 32-bit or 64-bit. If you bought the more expensive and EULA-friendly retail version, it will include both disc in the package.

I bought the OEM 32 bit version, so I guess I'll have to send it back and/or get the retail version. The computer I have now should run Vista with no problems so I guess I'll put the 32 bit on that one and get the 64 bit for my new build.
