Vista/Ubuntu Booting Issue

I have a dual boot setup right now. I'm using GRUB to select Ubuntu or Vista. It defaults to Ubuntu after 10 seconds.

I want to completely remove Ubuntu to install OS X. But when I do, because it removes GRUB as well, I cannot boot into Vista. It just sits there with a blinking cursor.

I have to reinstall Ubuntu to be bale to boot Vista again.

Is there a way I can have the Vista bootlaoder take over so that I can just whipe the Ubuntu partion?

yes, just run the vista setup again, get to the command prompt, and there's folder /boot on the DVD that you need to run an executable from.
