Vista to 7 migration...

What is the best way to migrate to 7 from Vista Ultimate x64? Vista is running on a RAID 0+1 and im moving to 10 for 7. I have plenty of HDs, but i dont necessarily want everything to move. I would like to select stuff to backup and then just run a "restore" when 7 is installed. Thoughts?
 
Three options:

1. Direct upgrade 7 over Vista.

2. Fresh install 7 and then use Windows Easy Transfer.

3. Fresh install 7 and then use Third Party Transfer Software.
