Vista: Security Center's Malware Protection Reporting Issues

I've got a slightly annoying problem with my Vista x64 Ultimate. The Malware protection alert in the Windows Security Center is saying that I have Avast! installed (says "avast! antivirus 4.7.1001 [VPS 000742-1] reports that it is up to date and virus scanning is on"), but I uninstalled it a month ago. I've uninstalled Avast! completely, removed all Avast directories and files, and I've even did a search for "Avast" in the Windows registry (search came back with nothing), but Vista's Security Center still thinks I have it installed.

Anyone know I can remove this false reporting that I have avast! installed?

Security center gets that via WMI, so Avast must have left a provider on the box. Unfortunately I cant give you much mroe to go on...

I just reinstalled Avast! and then uninstalled it. After doing this, Avast! is no longer listed in Security Center. 🙂
