Vista runs out of memory..........

I backed up my files yesterday which is a 180GB of files & installers....

I copied it from one HDD to another HDD....both are the same Seagate 320GB 16mb....

I used copy and paste...at the middle of copying there was an error....it says it cannot continue copying because not enough memory...
I only copied 180GB to a clean 320GB HDD, how come it ran out of memory....

Is this the HDD memory or the ram memory...???

When i tried cut and paste, there is no error...

Is this Vista error fixable with patch or update...???

Have encounter this kind of error...????
