Vista RTM and Extended Monitor

Vista for some reason refuses to remember where I put windows on the second monitor, i.e. if you minimize a window and bring it back up it shows back up on the laptop screen and I have to move it back. Also when I lock the computer and come back unlock it it now says the monitor cannot display that resolution and I have to go in and reset the display to 1680x1050.

AFAIK, it has remembered my monitor positions on my secondary display. What video card are you using and what display mode?

Ok I will bring this back up since installing official drivers for both my video card and monitor have made no difference. Running Dell D820 C2D T7600, Nvidia Quadro 120M, 2GB ram running Vista Business x64. I think the main issue is when the laptop gets turned on or comes out of being locked it sets the monitor back to 85hz instead of 60 so it will not display and I have to go back into the properties and set it back down to 60hz before it can work. Then I have to manually put all the windows I had back onto this Dell E228 22" widescreen. Anyone have any ideas?

Wish I could help but I haven't seen this type of issue on my system with an 8800GTS. I'm using Vista x86 though, so maybe it is a flaw in nVidia's x64 version of the driver?

Everything stays on my monitors just fine. Although, I'm using DualView rather than extending the desktop.
