I just installed Vista RC1 x86 build 5600 and am unable to get anything to deal with directx to work correctly. OpenGL and GDI applications work fine. I've installed the latest drivers for my card and chipset, but still no go. Anytime I try to run anything with directx cpu usage goes to 100% and the app stalls. Even when trying to run video in WMP I get an error C00D10BD.

RC2 has been out, but not available to all people, unless you bt it, which might be illegal?

Installing Directx9 over Vista's Directx10 still shows dx10 installed, and still same bug.

Back to XP.

1. Don't put DX9 on Vista. It comes with DX 10, use that.
2. Don't use RC1. RC2 has been out for some time now.
