Hey i have question i have a pioneer 1112, and a plextor 760 dvd burner. vista wont seems to let me update the drivers for the plextor. The latest driver is 1.06 which was in April 2007 vista gives both of my dvd burners the same drivers

6.0.6000.16386 and is dated 6/2006. No matter what i do i cant get vista to use the 1.06 driver. Ive tried in safe mode, ive uninstalled. has anyone had this problem with drivers in vista?
 
You shouldn't need a driver for the Plextor itself. You might need one for the controller, and certainly optical drives can be updated in firmware (make sure to run any such program as administrator), but the driver you are referring to is the basic driver for all optical devices and is normal.
