Vista Question

I have a Asrock 939 Dual SATA2 and have just installed Vista. I can't connect to the internet via my router and I'm suspecting it may be the LAN driver that's causing the problem. It does not indicate it is Vista compatable but it is for XP. In device mgr it says it working properly and I have no flags indicating it shouldn't work. The router is a Linksys WRT54G. Anyone out there know of a possible fix? Thanks.

Negative. However after a few hours on the tech line w/ MS I have gotten some funtionality to access. Seems I had installed the mobo LAN driver and unknowingly Vista has a Uli LAN driver in it's driver package so I had two drivers installed. Removed the one that came with the mobo leaving the Vista package driver. Problem is when I reboot the computer it somehow changes the settings and I play hell trying to get back on. I have bypassed my router, I'll have to deal with that issue later when I can reliably get online with just the modem connected.

That's good news. Once you get your MB drivers sorted, it should be smooth sailing. I've installed Vista on 3 router-equipped boxes (one with an old BEFSR81) so far with no problems.
