Hi all,

I was recommended to this site by a friend. I am hoping someone here can answer a few qustions for me.

1. I have a Dell XPS 710 that was installed with Windows XP Pro. I bought it during the transtiton to Vista so about a month after I got the computer Dell sent me a disk to upgrade to Windows Vista Home Premium. I am now looking to upgrade to Vista Ultimate. I had a chance to purchase a OEM copy of Ultimate off craigslist that was unopened and had the cdkey and the COA. Unfourtuantly that deal fell threw, however could I have done the upgrade using the OEM version? Or do I need a retail version?

2. Does anyone have a copy of Ultimate for sale that would be usable to upgrade my OS to Ultimate?

Thank you,

Kneo

You can use the Vista version from Dell, even if you don't install it in a Dell PC.

Go ahead and try it. I've done it before with no problems!
