Hi everyone!

I have one question specific to Windows Vista, and one general to all Windows versions.

1) When I push tab+alt on the keyboard I get the retro Window Switcher. When I click the link in the Quick Launch bar I get the new Vista version. Can I change it so tab+alt uses the new one?

2) When running "msconfig" and configuring startup items, can you remove old items from the list that don't even exist on your system anymore. Not very important, just nerdy OCD.

Thanks,
Brad

Go to Start\Run and type in Regedit and press Enter. Now use the + signs and browse to the Key [folder], and delete it.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run-
Note there is a minus sign, as you will see a Key right above it very similar, but without it. The one without the minus sign you want to keep. Look to the right pane of Regedit and verify you are at the correct one. You will see some of the entries you do not want.
Then go to this one;
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices-
and do the same.

Err. Just use "Windows Key" + Tab. That will give you the new switch method. Given that alt-tab is faster, it would make sense to leave it as an option.

Also, don't go messing with the registry without first exporting the key you are about to delete in case you want/need it later.
