I been googling this all over but can't seem to find the solution...
Problem:
My vista won't open any of the URL links from autoplay or any of the game menu.
(ie. Lord of the ring online links to account/support gives me this error
".url not associated with "open" function for your web browser")
attempted fixes > file association doesn't have properties like "open" in vista, unlike winxp. It is correctly assocated internet explorer with .url however. i can't tell if vista won't open links due to security reasons or vista doesn't have option to assocate file property and thus call the command "open"? 🙁
I have yet to mess around with UAC (Vista User Access Control) disabling.
and IE "protected mode" disabling.
any help will appreciated 🙂 even if there are some reg keys, i'll appreciate it.
