Vista question: Is there a way to always allow a program to run without prompting

It seems that there should be an option that once you allow a program to run that needs permission you can tell the computer that it can always run without prompting.

Is there a way to do this?

Log on with an Admin account. Find the executable, right-click it, choose Properties, and hit the Compatibility tab. You can then click the Show settings for all users button and mandate that it runs with Admin-level power no matter who runs it. You can also pick a compatibility mode in there... for example, I have an old image-editing program that I set to Win2000 mode to overcome most of its issues with Vista x64 .

What program(s) is/are giving you problems, out of curiosity?

One example is Intel's TAT (thermal analysis tool)

I don't have to log in, when vista boots up it goes directly to the desktop without asking for logging in. I guess it's that way because i'm the only user.

So i went to the properties of the executalbe for TAT. I selected it to run as admin but every time i start it up it still asks me to allow or cancel it.

I want to keep UAC on for it's benefits. But i would like to know if there is a setting for individual files to run without prompting.

Yes i don't want to turn off UAC either but i would like ro make certain program not ask me and have no problem start-ups too.
