Ok, so I'm setting up my printer to be shared on my wireless network, through my anchor pc running vista 64. I don't want to have to unhook my printer from my anchor and hook it up to my laptop to print from my laptop. Laptop is running XP 32 bit. When I try to print to the printer, I get an error that the incorrect printer driver is installed. So...I go into Vista and try to install XP drivers for my printer but Vista can't install them. I asked Epson support what the name of the XP driver was almost 2 weeks ago, I got a reply the next day that basically said, no hable espanol. I replied thinking they needed MORE specific information as to what I'm trying to do and I have yet to get a reply.

Anybody who can offer a lilttle help with this? It's an Epson Photo 825 printer, and Vista has native drivers for it, but for some reason, it won't run the Epson driver installer and Epson won't tell me what the driver .inf file is named, like it's top secret or something.

Why not just install the correct printer driver on your XP machine first, and then manually point your printer to the network location by choosing "Local Port" and typing the name of your machine and share?

Example: \\mycomputer\myprintershare

Because, since you missed it, the XP is a laptop, and my printer is not portable. Or, in case I misunderstood you, I have tried to find the driver through networking, but haven't had any luck. The printer is listed on the XP machine, since I have installed it there too, but there is no driver tab.
