Vista performance

I did a test last night to see if there was a difference in performance using the accepted benchmark for Hash Animation:Master for XP vs Vista (Ultimate build 6000). Using Workstation in My Rigs, version 13.0o (the non-threaded one). Vista was 1 second faster than XP creating the test frames 98 and 99. So 44 vs 43 seconds to render frame 98. 43 vs 42 for frame 99.

As far as the benchmark goes in this instance. It is a wash with no winner. More importantly, no loser either.

When I get my new subscription, I will repeat this test with Version 14 alpha3, which is multi-threaded.

BTW, a Core Duo in V14 was cranking at 23 seconds per frame. Sweet.
