Hello All!

I am new to computer building and since, if you buy Vista Ultimate before 7/07 you can buy additional Vista Home Premiums for $50; I want to make the family computer able to run Vista w/ all the bells and whistles. I don?t mess around on that computer so I don?t really care what it?s got in it, just as long as it meets the minimum specs for the premium features.

I?d like to use a dual core Intel. It also needs at least a gig of memory. The only thing I have so far is my old nVidia 7900. I need to get everything else. I want to spend as little as possible too. I was looking at some of those ?barebone? setups from Newegg but, I just don?t know if any of them are any good. I?d really appreciate any advice to steer me in the right direction, maybe some parts lists and/ or build tips. Thanks in advance for any help^^

Or, if you are going to build a computer, here are some recommendations:

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 | Link
Processor: Intel C2D E6300 | Link
RAM: PQI Turbo DDR2 667 | Link
Case: Antec Sonata II | Link
PSU: Comes with the case
HDD: WD or Seagate anything, depending on what capacity you are looking for
Video Card: The one you have
