Vista+Nvidia = No more Horizontal Span Mode?

My beloved dual monitor setup seems castrated with this new vista driver, as i cant run it in horizontal span mode. Instead the only option appears to be clone or dual view. I cant stand having the same walpaper tiled accross both screens, or having the task bar only extend half way. Does anyone know of a fix? Also is this Nvidia only? If so can i use horizontal span if i had an ATI card? Thanks guys.

I'm not sure I ever had that option with my crappy nvidia card and drivers but I recentely found Ultramon and it seems to do what you need. It uses very low resources as well.

Thanks for the suggestion, the horizontal span has been a feature for about as long as i can remember, it pretty much allows you to have a resolution of 2560x1024 rather than 2 1280x1024 displays. I dont think Ultramon has vista support but im giving it a shot as i type this so we will see.
