Vista not showing thumbnail images

My vista laptop is not showing the thumbnails of image files in windows explorer. It shows the same generic thumbnail of a beach or something for every file. Is there some way to fix this? I don't know why it's doing this at all. These are just standard JPG files and thumbnails work just fine with the same pics on an XP machine.

Thanks.

Here is how i fixed it, maybe there is as easier way.

go to windows explorer .. display contents of a drive .. click on the organize tab at top left .. then click "Folder and Search options" then click the View tab .. then uncheck the "always show icons, never thumbnails"
