Vista not remembering folder view settings

I've noticed that a few days after installing Windows Vista, the OS stops remembering folder view settings. At one time I have Medium view" setting icons for the Control Panel window, and the next time I open it, its icons are on "Details view" setting.

This problem happens with every window I open. Sometimes Window Explorer is maximized, sometimes it's not... Each folder is at a different view setting... That's very annoying, does anyone know why this happens?

Thanks in advance!

Happened to me as well when I used Vista, this was one of the worst "minor annoyance" class of issues.

Yea, not to mention the mouse sensitivity that always resets. Hopefully these will be corrected soon.

yeah, i eventually said screw this and just went back to my previous OS - no folder view problems.
