Vista Media Center playback problem

I was using Media Browser for VMC(Vista Media Center), every files show up on network and drives, but when I click on it, it says VMC cannot open this file. I'm using version 1.135 if I was using the 1.5xx beta then it would say for avi, one or more codec needed for this file, and other mkv files would say, cannot open this file. I installed ffshow, halli, and coreavc, and tried playing it with vista media player, and they all worked. So I don't know what's going on, or how I can get VMC to work.

hopefully someone can help me, I was in a rush to type it all before I went to bed.

download and install jet audio. its a one stop fix for all of windows media players. plays way more formats with none of the issues.
