Vista mailto malware or bug?

When I click on a mailto link in Firefox or IE about 40 IE windows open instead of a compose email window. :shocked: This just started recently while I was updating a web site with Dreamweaver 8.

I did various google mailto searches, but found no references to mailto malware.

Anyone know if this is malware or a bug of some nature?

Found it, it's a bug.

I had to add the mailto key, HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\mailto, back into the registry which fixed the problem.


Also it may have nothing to do with Dreamweaver. I was adding mailto links and discovered the problem when I starting testing the new links.
