vista lost dvd-rw

okay, so my dvd-rw was working great last night, today vista will not let it work. Its in device manager and its demanding a driver "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing"

last i checked cd/dvd drives dont have drivers, and regardless i checked the manufactuers website, and low and behold it says no drivers required. Its a lite on dvd-rw DL drive..

HELP!
