Vista Loader

Windows XP And Vista loaded.

Vista was loaded first.
After loading XP, I lost my option to select between the installed OS's.
I can only choose XP, not vista.

How do I get the OS chooser back?

How about a repair install of Vista. I know there's a fancier way but I haven't learned the details.

Alright then, I've installed Vista again.

Now when I try to choose XP, it gives me an error something about NTSOKERNEL or something.

I can't load XP now.
How do I fix this ;(

Are they on distinct partitions of one drive, or two different drives or what?

Maybe running bcdedit from Vista can help.

Otherwise try the XP recovery disk maybe and see if it has anything that can help.

Can you get into XP safe mode even?

Can you switch the OS that boots successfully using the BIOS boot drive selection prompts / settings (assuming you have them on two distinct drives)?

Sorry, I can't understand how to use bcdedit.
It's two partitions on same drive.

Anyway, I used XP Recovery disk and used bootcfg to fix it.
Thanks for the suggestion!
