Vista keeps starting my computer by itself...

Is there some setting that makes Vista just decide to turn on my computer by it self? I turn it off (completely)..... leave the house..... come back and my PC has turned itself on at some point while I was gone. Only started doing this with Vista. I dont even understand how it could do that if it's totally turned off. But I dont know is there some "turn on PC upon network signal" or some wierd thing like that? It's just bizzare.

most likely its a setting in the bios, just look under boot settings. you must have accidentally turned it on during vista installation.

The default action for the "Shutdown" button on the start menu is now Sleep instead of Shutdown. On desktop systems this has a habit of waking the computer when there is network traffic, or the table gets bumped (shaking the mouse), etc.
