Check out the Dell website. You can now get the free coupon upgrade to Vista when it comes out.
Looks like Dell will charge 10.00 for shipping and handling. Though one model says it will cost 45.00 plus 10.00 the rest are just 10.00.
Today is the first day Microsoft is allowing them to give the coupons.

yeah but RTM got knocked back a couple weeks

i just talked to our TAP rep, no "Date" is set yet for us to get our copy
i hope i get it before thanksgiving week, i am taking that whole week off for vacation

Limited time offer. See discount details. Estimated upgrade kit availability, February 2007.

No Express Upgrade to Windows Vista Selected [Included in Price]

FREE Upgrade plus $10 shipping & handling payable at time of redemption Discount Details

Express Upgrade to Windows Vista Business from XP Professional [ Free!]

However on the E520 model:

Sort of gives new meaning to the word "free"

In defense of my crap statement...... Looks liek the coupon is valid for a month after the package becomes available, have fun with launch vista 😀

Since it says free upgrade to Vista I assume you need the original Windows XP Pro/Home CD during the install right? If original CD is not needed then this would be even hotter. But I would assume this is not the case.

Ewww. Its bad enough the OS is going to be crappy, but all that entitles you to is an Upgrade version. That brings back tech support nightmares of upgrading Win98 machines to Win2k...

vista based off of windows nt like win 2k and xp were? If so then there shouldn't be many problems.
