Vista Internet Security 2011 Virus

Hi,

I have a pc that has been infected with the Vista Internet Security 2011 virus. It shows up as a fake virus scan popup that asks me to register the software. It also disables all applications from running including virus scannners and browsers.

Does anyone know how to get rid of this?

Dude, that is the worst virus ever!, get malwarebytes, spybot search & destroy, and a decent antivirus like kaspersky, backup all data, create restore point and start all the scanners

Also got infected by same virus. but having huge problems trying to remove it.
Even when i start in safe mode it pops up. Cant use ie to brows to download something to remove it. Even burnt a dvd with malwearbytes setup and installed it on infected computer but when i run it the file I only get fake virus warnings. Pls help

if you have internet access, goto www.surfright.nl and download hitmanpro. You don't have to install it, you can do a one time scan if you want.

1. Don't boot into save mode.
2. A antivirus is a prevention and useless after a infection.
Do you have another pc you can use to create a boot disk?

Burn it to disk and boot you pc up with it. Then scan your pc completely
