So I woke up this morning and my computer couldn't load web pages. Weird. Restarted the computer, still no go. Checked my other computers, they are fine.
Upon further examination, it looks like it's a DNS problem. I can ping IP addresses, but not domain names. I can also connect to my FTP.
Here are some things I tried/did:
Disable/enable NIC
Uninstall/reinstall NIC
Disable IPv6 on LAN properties
Check that DNS is obtained automatically
Check router settings
Flush DNS
Reset Winsock
Run Malwarebytes (nothing detected)
Run Avira (nothing detected)
I'm pretty much out of ideas here... anyone got a suggestion before I just use a restore point and hope for the best?
SOLVED: Updated firmware on my router. Doesn't make sense to me that it just suddenly stopped working but oh well.
