Vista installation won't boot after dvd loads installation files onto HD

Yeah so I boot from the dvd, set to do a clean format on the drive and a clean install of vista ultimate. It loads the installation files fine and goes through all the steps and tells me it's going to restart in 10secs. It restarts and I tell my computer to boot from the drive I installed vista on and it won't boot!
It gives the DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER
WTF?!?!?!?

HALP PLZ! :3

How many other drives do you have, seems 1 of them is the active drive....I had a similiar issue this morning with my scsi array, build after existing drives and partitions. In order for the system to keep the drive assigned letters etc, it write the mbr info to another disk....I used clone zilla to restore boot grub.

hmm i got it to work
I do have one other drive with vista installed on it.
and windows seemed to write the boot info onto that other drive. I was able to boot into the windows installation by booting into that other drive. weird.
