Vista installation question

I have three harddrives: 250, 80 and a 40. I have the 250 partitioned of course. I was going to just install Vista on the 40 because I don't have anything on it. I would just change my boot priority depending on which I would like to use. I was trying to install Vista and it never asked me where I wanted to install it. I got to the cd-key input area, but I was afraid to go any further because I didn't want to delete anything. I'm hoping that after I input the cd-key, it'll ask me which hardrive that I'd like to install it on. Can someone tell me if it will ask me after I input the key? If anyone has a better idea, let me know. thanks.

It's after the key. After you enter the key, you accept a EULA, and then you should see the partitioning screen.
