At first it would blue screen after the green scroll bar.

A few reboots and It would go into windows ONCE. Mostly the scoll bar mentioned above.

It will also go past the scroll bar and then blue screen. Crash Dump or something and then reboot.

The latest time it stays at the scroll bar and just keeps scrolling forever.

I have a Vista DVD.

When I put it in it says, "press any key to boot to CD/DVD."

I hit a key it starts loading the Windows files. Then after that, it goes to the green scrolling bar again. usually just freezing.

I got into windows setup once. Went to repair and it froze during the repair.

Every other time it just goes to the green bar scrolling.

I'm not sure what else to try here.

I removed the drive and scanned it on mine and the drive works but there was some spyware.

Bad caps can cause this behavior. When Windows starts up it gets to a point where it needs more CPU which draws more power from capacitors. If you have some bad caps it can't provide enough power to the CPU for Windows. You can usually run DOS type programs and diags ok but not windows.

Yeah. crazy stuff over and over and over. They were only swelled. I had seen some boards with the caps totally exploded but not act this bad. lol. Oh well.
