Vista: I need permissions?

I'm trying to install xfire onto my PC here; it will not install due to me being a user and not the admin. Plus something about 'permissions'; can I change these at all to let me install whatever I want? Or just plain fix it for use with my user account? Thanks.

Also, as with XP, I believe the first user account created on the system has admin and the rest might not. To check, click what was the "start" button, then right click "computer" and select "manage". Then you can expand the "Local Users and Groups", click on "Groups", then double click "Administrators" and it will list the accounts with administrator access. If you are not a member, you will need to log in as a member, follow the preceding directions to open the Administrators' group, and "add" any other user that needs administrator access...
