Vista Hybernate Problem

I mentioned this in Op Systems forum , without too much luck , and on second thought suspect it may be connected to the motherboard so here goes :

When I enter hybernate/sleep mode I can't return from it . Neither mouse/keyboard/PC Power button will do it . Here are the PC specs :
Intel Dragontail Peak DP35DPM motherboard
Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 2.66 Mhz
Samsung 2GB DDR2
WD 320GB/7200/16MB SATA II
Nvidia 8400GS 256MB
LG x18 SATA DVD
Vista Home Premium 32
( Samsung 226BW Monitor )

Is there some BIOS setting or similar which might affect this ?
 
As far as I know - should be . The Vista is updated online . The BIOS is from Jan 26 . The Nvidia is latest . The Samsung screen , I did not install , as read somewhere that Vista does this for me , and not necessary - do you think that may be a problem ? Any other divers ?
 
Chipset drivers are the only thing you didn't mention that might matter, but it sounds like you're up to date.

Are your keyboard and mouse USB? If so, try plugging in a P/S2 keyboard and see if that will work. It also might be BIOS setting related to USB or the BIOS "wake-from" settings.
 
Thanks Rike - yes they are USB . Changing to PS2 is not relevant at the moment . As for the BIOS "wake -from" settings , what should I look for ?
 
Thanks people - for info - Intel Support has since told me that this is a known problem they're are working on and they suggest changing my BIOS version .
 
I assume that all Intel-branded boards come +5VSB enabled by default. One should never assume but that was my previous experience. They're usually very good on power saving features. (must have learned a lot from prescott era)
