Not looking to brag really just want to see how different compenents effect the score.

Right now mine is 4.9. I'm not working on it now, but think the memory is whats holding it back. I got 4x512 so my MB is running memory at 333 and not 400. Although when i had only 2 sticks and running at 400 it was nay higher.

PS
I thought it was set to max out at 5 for any thing out now. But my video and hard drive are both over 5.

LOL!!!

I've got two PC's (my work rig and main home rig) both dual booting 5728. Scores are 2.2 and 2.3. It might be because I'm running 128MB AGP Radeon 9550's on them, which kills Aero's performance---though it still runs with all the bells and whistles.

Quite frankly, I'm amazed at how well Vista actually performs considering the graphics horsepower (or lack thereof). Otherwise, processor & memory check in middle of hte road at 4.2 and 4.3, and hard disk at 5.3 (IDE).

I couldn't get anything that high.. it was mainly because I only leave ~40 GB for my partition? I mean HELLLO, I use a Raptor 74GB for my OSes, what do you expect? Stupid@$$ Vista cannot accept the fact that I have dual 7200.10s (2x320gb in RAID-0) standing by for the swpa file and an additional 7200.9. That's freaking 960GB of storage, and Vista is telling me my 40GB is an issue.

Throw on my 7800GT, 2GB RAM, Opteron 170 @ 2.5GHz, I don't think Vista should be giving me a freaking 4 only. Retarded MS. I can boot Vista faster than most people too =/

you're overall score is equal to your lowest score of any category...so if you want a higher score just boost the lowest category ;)

I stopped using Vista last night cause it wouldnt let me transfer data between HD's or from external usb 2.0 HD to internal HD above 65kb/s...had all the drivers installed and everything. Do they have some sorta transfer rate or what? Now that i'm back to XP, I can transfer 21gb from my external usb 2.0 HD to my internal in about 12min :)

Yeah, copying and moving files is defintely slower in Vista. Not sure if its a driver issue, or that darn "calculating time remaining" that's slowing the process down. Hey MSFT, don't calculate the time remaining, take some advice from Nike and "just do it."
