vista gripe

okay, i have a linksys wireless G usb adapter for my computer. I installed the drivers, and it worked just fine. Windows found a my wireless network right away and allowed me to connect. Now my gripe is, any time i turn off/log off/reset/ or let the computer go to standby, it will not refind my wireless network and connect automatically. I have to manually hit connect. It works, but its just annoying. Is this a vista problem, or is there somewhere where i can tell it to connect automatically?

When you go into the 'connect to...' dialog and double-click on the wireless network you want to connect to, you'll be prompted to enter a WEP/WPA key (or click continue to connect to an open network). When you are successfully connected, you should see a box to save the connection in the successfully connected UI.

I think I ran into this once with one of the older builds. Are you doing SSID broadcasts on your AP? May just be that the connection needs to be set so that it "connects even if the network is not broadcasting"...

If not bug it.

another thing i just noticed at lunch...last night i got a bsod, and then vista restarted itself and its been stable since...however my dvd rw is missing. I checked my IDE connections....how can i make it come back?
