I have a Toshiba laptop that's about a month or two old. It came preloaded with Vista.

For whatever reason, if Vista goes to "Sleep" or whatever it calls that mode, sometimes it comes back up and forgets it ha a network card. It will show me a picture of the front of the laptop with the switch set to ON, but it doesn't show up in Device Manager and when I try to tell it to setup a wireless network, it searches for a bit and then says it doesn't find any wireless networking cards.

Any idea of what I can do to fix this?

Rebooting helps but I shouldn't have to do that... Not sure if it's a hardware or software issue but the card works fine if the laptop doesn't go to sleep mode.

Have you contacted Toshiba?
Does it do the same in Hibernate?
Don't let it go to sleep, as you will have to reboot anyway.
