I hope they all are Vista exclusive.
Would help with speeding up driver support, amongst other things.

I don't see many devs supporting Vista exclusive, considering XP's installed base. At least I hope they don't go in that direction until SP1

The sigh was regarding the comments made by those basically stating they've never touched Vista, yet don't want to use it.
Sorry, i posted after you, but my comment had nothing to do with yours.
Nevermind me, i'm just incredibly tired of the misinformation there about Vista...

Yeah, it sucks. I want to play it with a keyboard and mouse!
I do have it on the XBox though and it'll be two and a half years old by the time it comes out, so I'm not really expecting too much from it...

well, it's not ignorance. People don't want to use Vista and with good reason. There's much to be desired from driver support which is the biggest hurdle. Even I'm holding off using Vista full time until a few things are worked out. I like the OS, the interface is nuce and there's some useful things to go with it. That being said, there are alot of things that used to work in xp and are just broken in vista. There's no other way to describe it. Some devices I've seen manufacturers tell people "we will not support that device under vista". That is what I think many people who haven't tried it are looking at.
Personally I switched to XP full time at least until december (giving ample time for certain issues to be worked out).
It's not ignorance because alot of the people here who have not used it probably have read about issues with something they use in XP or they do not have money for new hardware that will run well on vista (old video and sound card for example). It would be ignorance if someone came here on their first post and said "Vidta doesn't work with any games, or any sound cards" which we know is not the case and nobody said that.

I dual-boot Vista and XP, and I just moved all my games over to Vista so I don't have to switch OS'es for a few quick kills. I'd have to take exception to your post.
All the hardware in my system works with Vista. My Logitech MX1000 mouse's SetPoint software actually works better. Asus and ATi have been awesome with driver support (I have a P5W-DH and X1900XT), but Creative I don't know about (motherboard integrated sound is enough for me). I have yet to crash Vista, and the only thing I'm still looking for is a way to have scrolling desktop wallpapers (able to be done in XP using a PowerToy).
The only thing I don't like about Vista is that BF2 runs noticeably worse than XP. Under XP, it was flawless. Under Vista, my load times have doubled, and I'm getting hard drive stutter for the first time since I built this rig eight months ago to replace an aging laptop. FEAR runs one or two frames per second slower than XP, but is otherwise flawless.
I have to say, I like Vista.
