Ahh those were the days. MS Office 4.3 came on 30 3.5" floppy disks. And those were specially formatted disks to get more space out of them.Originally posted by: RebateMonger
Microsoft has always had an "alternative media" offer for Retail versions of Vista. You can get either the x64 version or a CD version for $10. You need a Retail license Key to order the alternative media..
I remember when Microsoft offered 5 1/4-inch floppies as an alternative to the 3.5-inch floppies that Windows xx or Office xx were delivered on. I used to order them just on the principle of things. You'd get a box with thirty floppy disks inside.

Yeah, but the most fun thing was when you'd to take turns seeing how fast you could swap floppy disks while making a backup. You'd hold a floppy in one hand and wrestle the other floppy from the drive. Better than a video game for improving hand/eye coordination.Originally posted by: lxskllr
The bad old days. I never had to do nearly that many, but the floppy shuffle was a major drag. More than 2, I'd start to get irritated.
