Vista DVD/CD drive emulation ?

I'm thinking to give Beta 2 x64 version a try but what i wanted to know before i install...is there any cd/dvd drive emulation programs for vista? like daemon tools?..

i heard that daemon tools wont work in vista beta 2 x64, so i was hoping there are other emulation programs that will work...if anyone knows any can you tell me the names of them?

Well, the 32-bit version can support unsigned drivers while the 64-bit one cannot. Your only chance of getting CD/DVD emulation is using Vista x32. You can bet with all the DRM crap they won't be signing the drivers for 64-bit.

Potentially but there are hardly any native Windows x64 applications right now. The main advantages you'll see are server-oriented things like databases. Those are also the first adopters of 64-bit. I'm not sure how the situation will change when Vista x64 is released. I wouldn't expect the number of 64-bit programs to skyrocket. The same goes for SMP-aware apps. I don't think we'll see those making up the majority of apps for three years. I also don't expect adoption of Vista to be that great for at least a couple years since hardware upgrades, for many, are needed for acceptable performance. Some may just not see the reason to switch in the first place.

this is kinda weird, i downloaded the 5536 x86 version of vista and i got to where it asks about your keyboard layout and stuff, after that i click install now, and it comes up with some crap saying that i need dvd/cd drom drive drivers....it doesnt even detect my dvd drive!....when i had beta 2 it had no problems detecting m dvd drive....is this only me? or is it happenening to anyone else?
