So, I've had Vista Ultimate for a little while now, thanks to my MSDN subscription. :) And I haven't been able to get my DVD burner to cooperate with me. It will burn CDs, but it won't recognize a burnable DVD. I've tried with multiple discs in case it was just a bad disc I was trying. I can update this with my specific drive info when I get home, but I just wanted to see if anyone else was having similar issues with theirs...

Did you use the full PC backup? If so, how did it work (how long did it take) to back up to DVDs? I dumped an image to an external HD and it took 15 minutes for 17 gig (pretty base install). I'm impressed...wish it could compress the image a bit though! Tomorrow I'm going to test dumping it back via the recovery console.

Well, apparently I'm the only moron out there with problems... thanks for the feedback and welcome. I've lurked in various forums for a while now, but I finally decided to register and actually participate.
