a: Windows Xp Home Premium

b: Freecom 400 GB usb

The external drive worked on every XP system I`ve tested........ and there where many. The cable works fine, all is perfect.

Under Vista...... it cannot be recognized. After many hours of lecture on the net, I`ve found that it migth be related tu usbstor.inf, so I`ve replaced it. Still nothing. I`ve heard about a lot of problems with Freecom hard drives and Vista.

Anyone, any idea ?
Thanks!!!

forgot to say that every other hard drive/usb stick that i`ve tested worked........
that made me think it may be a hard drive problem. but i`m not sure
