Ok I just installed vista x64 and so far im likeing it i cant stand UAC but who cares im not gonna bitch about somthing that I can disable 🙂 and neways heres my question vista has my driver for this video card GeForce 7600GS 512MB but I am not keeping that card in there I just used it for the install anyways the card I want to install is my 7950gx2 card. Do I need to uninstall the driver for the original card that was in there before I install the other card. I ask because I tried to uninstall the driver and it worked but the screen went blank obviously but can I just remove that card and install the other?

Someone. I know I havnt waited long for a reply but I want to finish setting up vista so I was j/w if anyone knew offhand.

Yes, you will want to uninstall the driver, shut down the computer, install the video card and then start Windows and install the latest driver from Nvidia's web site. The reason you want to do this is the drivers will not properly detect and set up the new card properly.

Nvidia drivers are VERY finniky. The need to be COMPLETELY removed before you install new ones. You can Google it if you want, but I suggest using this to clean the previous driver installation.
