If i use vista to dyanmically? partition what is the difference from using XP installer to partition?
Basically what is the difference between basic and dynamic?
EX.
120GB HD partitioned into 3 drives done whiling installing XP. or
120GB HD dynamically into 3 drives done in vista disk managemtn?
I just put my 160GB of two old partitions together to make one. It did give me a warning that i couldnt install a OS on the new dynamic drive.
I know when doing the regular parts it breaks it up and makes seeks times longer. Is this the same in vistas new feature?
Im basically in a boat where i have a 120gb hd partitioned into 3 drives and a 160GB into two drives and i want them all back together again running at optimal performance. I have Vista and xp on the 120GB drive on C and D respectively... not sure where to go from here to get the drives back together? Was thinking about all formats and reinstalling on seperate disks? I only really need XP to game besides that i am happy with vista
