Vista + CS:S + Nvidia 7900GT = Artifiact Hell?

So Im running Vista and noticed that CS:S gives me all sorts of artifacts. I have run both the nvidia drivers and the microsoft drivers and neither have solved the problem. I also updated to directx 9.0c and no luck. Any idead would be greatly appreciated.

Im no expert, but I might say that vista would be the first place to look............

I'm sure it's possible that bugs still exist in Vista, being relatively new. I agree with Evilhomer.
