I have a Vista desktop connected to a Linksys WRT54G wireless router. The other computers on this network (named linksys) are a MacBook and an iMac. Here's the deal:
When I pull up available wireless networks, the linksys network shows up, security enabled, etc, etc; but it also shows this:
linksys 2
linksys 2 3
linksys 2 3 4
linksys 2 3 4 5
etc, etc, so now we have linksys 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9. They all show up as "unsecured", also.
Does anyone have any idea what's going on? The Macs only show the linksys network, not the "extra" ones. When I check Network and Sharing Center, it shows me connected to linksys; but when I pick "Connect to a Network", it shows me connected to linksys 2 3 4 5 6 7, or something else.
File and network sharing work normally, I can see the other computers in the workgroup.
Thanks for any help, it's more just annoying to see all those networks pop up.
