Vista cpu power mgmt settings

Well my new e6750 has speedstep turned on which lowers the multi from 8 to 6 when the cpu isn't doing much work I believe. I know Vista also has it's own processor power management settings in the advanced power options of the control panel. what should they be set to? Right now I have both min and max state to 100 but I think the default min is 5%. wondering if I should use that instead. Thanks.

well I've been playing with it and guess it doesn't do anything with an Intel cpu. Speedstep just takes over.
