Vista Copy, Multiple Continues, Why???

I just made the jump to Lightspeed, Vista. 😉

Is their a logical reason why when I copy files from a optical drive or another HDD to my Vista C: that I get all these layers of permission? Basically I can click continue multiple times and the files are copied. So I'm wondering what's the point?

Is this an attempt at security by Microsoft or just a giant PITA?

Is their a way to disable this "feature" so that a copy behaves like I'm used to in XP?

I did a search on this topic and found a giant Access Denied Thread, no help.

Thanks

Sure, copy the files somewhere under your profile, or under another directory root where you have full control.
