Hi
I can't get Vista to see my Western Digital Caviar SE 16 500 Gb hard drive. I have set my boot device priority from floppy to CD 1 to CD 2, and tried them in all orders. I put the Vista disk in 1 the MOBO disk in 2 and the Hd drivers in floopy with the same thing happening. Window can't find the storage device drivers. I can see all of the optical and HD in the bios post and in the bios set up. I even put the mobo drivers on floppy and this didn't work. Just to see if things were working I unplugged the sata cable on the HD and then couldn't find it in bios. When I put the mobo disk in the CD drive it goes to Express Recovery, with the HD unplugged it shows that there is no HD detectible, but with the HD plugged in it detects the HD. I have tried setting the bios differently but nothing I have done gets Vista to see the HD. Gigabyte GA-965p-DQ6 Rev. 3.3 Mobo. I have tried sugestion fro some forum members and these didn't change any thing. Is there any way I can bypass this step in loading Vista? Also is there any way I can slow down the bios boot pages that flash on the screen when starting up? Thanks for your help and input. Have Fun, Rick
