Vista BSOD and random app crashes are fun!

Another week, another problem. It seems that whenever I solve a problem with this operation system another one just rises to take its place.
I've recently bought a new hard drive in order to do a clean install of my vista 32 bit OS. Everything went fine up until a few days ago. I started noticing huge app crashes from my second HD. I installed the OS on my new basic SATA HD, and I left my old second HD dynamic. I didn't format the second disk after I installed vista because I have over 200gb of data and I couldn't get into the drive to format it. I'm wondering if this is causing all of my problems. Should I have formatted my second HD that I use to run most of my games and huge apps?
It seems that whenever I play a game or launch a movie I either get a crash message or a BSOD with the classic memory wipe message(PAGE_NO_FAULT).

I've cleaned up my second disk and defraged it...should I just suck it up and format the thing?

You might want to start with Memtest86+. http://www.memtest.org Also check your PSU's voltages. Is your PSU definitely adequate for the system load, even with the new HDD?

Ran memtest, no errors found.
Power settings in BIOS:
Vcore - 1.28V
3.3V - 3.37V
5V - 4.86V
12V - 12.03V

Some of the guys here are quite good at diagnosing errors if they're given the exact error output. If possible, maybe post screenshots or the exact wording.

Understood. I meant the BSOD output and/or crash reports you'd also mentioned.

Also, am I understanding correctly that you have your games and stuff on the old hard drive, but are trying to run them from a fresh installation of Windows on the new hard drive, without having actually installed them on the new Windows installation? That would be sure to cause mayhem, the software needs to be installed again after reinstalling Windows.

Yea that's what I was thinking. I'm formatting the HD right now just incase. I honestly don't know what I was thinking.
